ASU Los Diablos, a chapter of the Arizona State University Alumni Association ("we," "us," or "our"). Effective date: 08/20/2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the personal information of participants in our scholarship and mentorship program through our website and scholar portal at portal.asulosdiablos.org.

Information We Collect

We collect information that program participants provide directly to us, including: name, email address, mobile phone number, emergency contact information, educational information (academic year, major, expected graduation date, GPA), biography, photograph, t-shirt size, and, for mentors, employer, title, and industry. We also generate program records, including event attendance, program requirement completion, and account sign-in records.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information solely to administer the scholarship and mentorship program: maintaining the program roster, pairing scholars with mentors, tracking attendance and program requirements, communicating with participants by email and text message, producing program materials, and contacting emergency contacts when necessary.

SMS / Text Messaging

Program participants may opt in to receive informational text messages from ASU Los Diablos, such as event reminders and program deadline notices, by providing their mobile phone number on their portal profile. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of participating in the program.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact admin@asulosdiablos.org.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances: with service providers that host our systems and deliver our communications, who may use it only to provide those services to us; within the program as necessary to operate it; and when required by law.

Data Security

Personal information is stored in access-controlled systems. Access is limited to program administrators and, where the program requires it, to a participant's paired mentor or scholar.

Data Retention

We retain program records for the duration of a participant's involvement in the program and as part of the chapter's records of past program years, which are used for scholarship renewal history.

Your Choices

You may review and update your information at any time by signing in to the portal. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. To request correction or deletion of your information, contact admin@asulosdiablos.org.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, and the effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
